Deanna thought she had hung up her skates for good when she retired in 2001 as the 2000 World Junior silver medalist. Fast forward 16 years, she realized she had more left to both give and experience in the world of competitive figure skating. Leaving behind a successful career at a medical aesthetics practice, Deanna decided to return to competition in the 2015-16 season – this time as a pairs skater with 2014 Olympian Nathan Bartholomay. The pair hit the ground running with a pewter medal at the 2017 U.S. Championships, their first national event since teaming up.
